Dr. Mary Bernadette V. Egloso-Alas is a devoted psychiatrist based in Tacloban City, Leyte, whose practice is deeply rooted in a mission to bring healing and restoration to broken families and vulnerable youth. With years of clinical experience addressing varied mental health problems, she has witnessed firsthand the profound emotional and spiritual wounds affecting individuals and communities—especially in the aftermath of personal loss, broken relationships, and social crises.
Dr. Egloso-Alas envisions establishing a integrated rehabilitation facility in Eastern Visayas where individuals can find not only psychiatric care but also spiritual renewal, psychotherapy, and community support. Her approach combines evidence-based mental health interventions with compassionate, faith-informed care that honors the dignity and complexity of every human being.
A graduate of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Medicine and a board-certified psychiatrist trained at Eastern Visayas Medical Center, she currently serves clients at ACE Medical Center Tacloban and Tacloban City Hospital, and offers teleconsultations for broader reach.
Through her ministry and vision, Dr. Egloso-Alas hopes to raise up a generation free from the chains of emotional pain—restored by God’s love, equipped with psychological tools for resilience, and empowered to live in purpose and hope.
